The contour is called Shimo Kabura Hosokuchi (Round lower belly with slender upper neck).  The bottom base foot is relatively higher than usual to allow space for pierced carving (Shippo Decorative Pattern).  Pierced carved handles are attached to the lower part of the neck.  Finished with first layer of Kiyu (yellow) and overlayer of Kuroyu (black) to create further dimentions.
